Itinerary

DAY 1

Your Private Giresun Tour begins with a morning pickup at 10:00 AM from your hotel in Trabzon. Traveling along the Black Sea coast, the first stop is Tripolis Castle, an Ottoman era fortress recently restored, where you’ll enjoy panoramic sea views and photo opportunities.

Next, continue to a tea factory, where you’ll learn about the local tea culture and taste authentic Turkish tea, a staple of Black Sea life.

From there, head to the harbor and take a short boat trip to Giresun Island, the only Turkish island in the Black Sea. Known for its monastery ruins, ancient walls, and 71 plant species, the island offers spectacular views of the horizon.

After returning to the mainland, visit the ancient Giresun Castle, perched high above the city. Dating back to the 2nd century BC, the castle’s preserved walls and commanding views make it one of the province’s most important landmarks.

The journey continues inland to the breathtaking Blue Lake, where turquoise waters meet lush green mountains. This natural gem is perfect for photography and relaxation.

The final stop is the limestone basins, where mineral waters flow through unique turquoise and white rock formations.

By around 07:00 PM, your tour concludes with a comfortable return to your hotel in Trabzon.

Tripolis Castle (Tirebolu Castle)  A coastal fortress in Tirebolu, originally built in the Byzantine period and later used by the Ottomans, offering historic walls and sweeping views over the Black Sea.

Tea Factory  A local Giresun tea factory where you can observe the tea production process from leaf to cup and taste freshly brewed Turkish tea.

Giresun Island  Situated just off the coast, this island features ancient walls and remnants of a monastery, providing panoramic sea views and a chance to explore history and nature together.

Giresun Castle  Built in the 2nd century BC by the Kingdom of Pontus, this high perched fortress dominates the city skyline and offers views of Giresun and the sea.

Blue Lake (Mavi Göl, Kuzalan Nature Park)  A set of lakes in the Goksu Creek basin within Kuzalan Nature Park, famous for turquoise water especially from late spring through autumn, surrounded by lush green forest.

Limestone Basins  Created by mineral rich water flowing over rocks, these terraced pools and basins offer unique natural formations and tranquil spots for walking and photography
