Ephesus was the second-largest city in the world during the 1st century AD, second only to Rome, with a population of more than 250,000. It was a thriving hub for commerce and culture and served as a gateway between the East and West. This impressive city was home to grand monuments like the Celsus Library (the third-largest library of the ancient world) and the Great Theatre (the largest Roman theatre on the Asian continent). Walking along these ancient streets will transport you back in time.
From the time of Augustus, the Terrace Houses were luxurious homes of Ephesus’ wealthy citizens. These houses, adorned with beautiful frescoes and mosaics, had private baths, bedrooms, and kitchens. The homes are a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the city’s elite during the Roman Empire.
Located 6 km north of Ephesus, the House of Virgin Mary is believed to be the place where Mary spent her last days. The house was transformed into a church during the 6th century, and it is believed that the Assumption of Mary occurred here on August 15th. This peaceful site is a place of pilgrimage for many.
Around 3 km from the ruins of Ephesus, the St. John Basilica was originally built in the 2nd century AD, then rebuilt in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. The impressive ruins of this basilica, dedicated to St. John the Apostle, remain a testament to the religious significance of Ephesus in the early Christian era.
The Temple of Artemis (or Artemision) was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and an important place of worship. The temple, dedicated to the goddess Artemis, made Ephesus a key pilgrimage site in antiquity. The remaining ruins are all that is left of what was once a grand structure with 127 Ionic columns.
After visiting the historic sites, enjoy a typical Turkish meal at a local restaurant, offering a variety of traditional dishes.
After completing your tour of Ephesus and its surrounding sites, your guide will drive you back to your departure point, concluding your unforgettable journey through ancient history.
A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
